Meet The New Face of Radiation Therapy™. Brett is 55 years of age and lives in Queensland. A lifetime of enjoying the harsh Australian sun had taken a toll on his skin. In the last 25 years, Brett has attempted to alleviate his skin cancers through surgery, topical creams and a range of other treatments, however the improvement in his skin quality had been minimal and short lived. A turning point for Brett was when his doctor referred him to GenesisCare to be considered for radiation therapy to address the skin cancers on his scalp and face.

Earlier this year, GenesisCare’s first ever Elekta MR Linac was launched at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia. The MR-Linac technology combines a high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner with a linear accelerator, allowing doctors to see a tumor’s movements and its exact position during the delivery of radiation.

ExacTrac Dynamic, a patient positioning and position monitoring device supports the delivery of precision radiotherapy with surface and thermal tracking combined with real time X-Ray monitoring.
